This privacy notice applies to the personal data we collect about you through our website (www.theactiveacademy.co.uk), by post, by email, by telephone, in person or when you otherwise communicate with us. This communication may be for yourself or on behalf of dependent children aged 16 or under.

What personal data do we collect about you?

We collect personal data about you, if you fill in forms on the website or correspond with us by phone, email, in person or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you register with us, place orders for goods or services, attend classes, or provide feedback. We may also ask you to share your personal data with us if it is necessary for us to provide our services to you – for example, we may ask about any health or medical information that may affect ability to participate in clubs.


Personal data we may process about you includes:

  • Bank and/ or payment card details

  • Details of any medical conditions that may be relevant to your safety, when in receipt of our services


Personal Data we may process about your child/children:

  • Name

  • Date of Birth

  • Details of any medical conditions that may be relevant to you child’s safety, when in receipt of our services


If you use our website, we automatically collect the following information:

  • Web usage information (IP address)

  • Your login information

  • Device, type, model, browser type, operating system, IP location


Where we collect information about you in the ways described above, we do so on the basis that it is in out legitimate interests to collect and process this data. Where possible this data is anonymised. We collect this data to ensure our website is working properly. Please rest assured that we have neither the time, knowledge or inclination to use this data for any other purpose :-)

Security

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it.

The computers  in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Access to information and individual rights

This right can exercised by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data to prevent such processing. Customers have the right to access information that is held on our system about them. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing customers with details of the information we hold about them.

Use of Cookies

Cookies enable us to track usage patterns and deliver customised content to our users. Our cookies do not have an expiration date and do not collect personally identifiable information.
